I recently purchased some property in the foot hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Mt Airy, NC or as they call it Granite City. The well is 504 feet. Its has a screen filter on it that I have to clean about twice a day. What comes out of it is the consistently of talcum powder when it dries. The local well driller I called told me he has tried a centrifugal type sand filter on one of his customers system that has the same problem but thinks the rock dust does not have enough mass to allow the centrifugal filter to work. I would like something I could back flush. Any help would be welcomed.
