I am installing livestock water. Pump elevation is 200 feet lower than water trough elevation. Pipeline length is 2000 feet of 1.25 plastic pipe. My computations say I need 105 psi as cut in and 125 cut out to overcome lift, pipe friction and to operate trough float. Question is-- Has anyone had experience with installing a pressure switch with "non-traditional" settings at pump and installing the pressure tank in the pipeline at a elevation that will not exceed the maximum pressure of the tank.
