I have a 1 HP shallow well pump that services my lawn sprinkler system. The pump is equipped with a 2 gallon bladder tank and a 30-50 pressure switch. The bladder tank is from Water Ace Pump Co. I'm not certain about the pump manufacturer but the pump is seven years old. Emerson Motor Company is barely legible on the label. I inherited the system when I bought the house last year.

When the sprinkler system is on full, meaning that it is drawing almost at maximum for the number of sprinkler heads in a given zone, the pump works fine. But when a two sprinkler zone calls for water or I'm running a hose the pump cycles every second or so. I'm wondering if this could be water in the bladder causing the pressure to be just a little off when the pump is not being used close to or at maximum output.
