air pressure in tank keeps changing

We installed a new bladder tank in our house. We have the pressure sat at around 36/60 , as we were trying to adjust the on pressure we turned the taller screw to make it come on at 40 so we were leting air out of the tank. we sat the tank pressure at 40 to see if it ran out of water before the tank kicked on. I turned the water on the tank kicked on at 36 and shut off at 60, as we were doing this we had a air pressure hooked up to the tank to so we could adjust it as we went along, then the tank pressure raised to 60 to. I was just wondering if the air pressur in the tank is suppose to raise up and down like that. Should we call a professional out.
