Is it the Tank? Is it the Water?

We've replaced our 1/2hp myer jet pump, foot valve and jet ejector. We still have issues. The tank is a well xtrol bladder type. Water pumps into the tank (set at 22psi and 30 just to get SOME water in the house!). If we run water, the pressure guage drops to below 10. When the pump kicks on, the highest pressure we can get is 31 in the tank (static) even when I've pressurized the tank to 55 psi. Is there anything I'm not doing with the tank or are we just running out of water. Anything we should check on the tank? We have not yet checked our water level with the two-wire test. It seems odd because there is water, then there's not, and then there IS. The water is clear and clean running. The reason we've replaced all of these things is because of a complete lack of water approx 2 weeks ago. We had no dirty (bottom of the well) water, no smell, no air, nothing suspicious. We've replaced each of these components as result, attempting to resurrect our water supply. Any help is appreciated. [:u]

I'm confused as to what you have adjusted 22/30, but with 50 psi in the tank, you will never put any water in it. You should read the FAQ page to learn how to set up a bladder tank. The link is at the bottom of my post.

If your pump only makes 30 lbs. you could have a plugged jet or maybe the water level is just about at it's max (25 feet). Before you buy any more new stuff, why not call a pump man. He might save you a fortune.

Okay, something just seems freaky about this whole thing. The air pressure in the tank/bladder reads 24 psi (we reduced it after your reply). The Pressure switch is set at approx. 20/30. The pump will run forever, and the highest reading we get on the pressure guage is 30psi, so that necessitated the shutoff setting at 30. We are unable to get any higher than the 30psi reading on the guage. We opened the laundry room faucets to check that the pump does indeed kick on at around 20psi. It does, but there is a funny drop on the guage at about 25 - it goes really quickly down to about 10psi. Seems odd to me, and makes me think that maybe the tank/bladder is bad. The water pressure is great in the lower level, but fades quickly in the upstairs areas (almost to a trickle). It just seems weird - water appears to be flowing from the well, but can't or won't enter the tank. I'm really just hoping that its not that the well has run dry, and intend to call a pump guy to come out this week, but I thought maybe I'm missing something obvious????? Thanks in advance for reply.

The tank is taking in water now and when the pressure goes to 10 from 25 is when the tank just emptied. Your problem is the pump not the tank. If it won't make more than 30 psi, there is something wrong with it.
