Thread: cistern tanks

Where can I find tanks for cisterns in the Tampa area? I currently need 10k to 12k to empty my pool into while I re-marcite it but I eventually want to have cisterns at 2 houses so I would prefer 2 5k tanks or larger. What would be the best material and is there somewhere local that has them? If I decide not to buy the tanks just yet, is there a place to rent them?

I don't know the name of the place, it's been several years since I've been there. The place is on Airport Road in Plant City. They sell plastic tanks of all kinds, shapes and sizes. I'm sure they can get you what you want. Maybe a drive out there would be in order since a Google search didn't find them. They are approximately 1.5 miles east of Turkey Creek Rd.

Yea, google has been getting pretty useless lately. When you are searching for a business, it mostly pulls up other lesser search engines. When you are searching for anything else, it pulls up mostly businesses. At least it helped me find this forum.

Hmm, I found photos of the place from terrafly and it shows tanks all around the building. Maps.google.com doesn't show any tanks and the phone number I found is either busy or no one answers. I may postpone my trip till I'm sure they are still around.

I think you found it. Like I said, I haven't been there for a long time, so hopefully they are still in business. Yes they did have tanks all over the place, in the front a whole bunch out back and they had all kinds of hose, connectors etc inside.
