Frost free yard hydrants and different brands

    https://terrylove.com/forums/index.p...ydrants.80316/

With a CSV installed after the main line your tring to tee off will have the back pressure on the yard hydrants. You will need the CSV to be installed before the yard hydrants so the CSV can control the amount of water being used.

On a traditional pump system it's ok to tee off the main line before the pressure tank as water has no problem going backwards as long as you don't have a great deal of friction loss on pipe sizing(1" poly would be fine on a 10gpm submersible pump with no extra long distances to calculate).

Some Brand names: Woodford is top of the line when talking about yard hydrants. Merrill, and Baker Monitor are some other brands used by pump installers. No shut off valves are required but a good size gravel packing hole is recommended around drain hole below ground level so no blockage during vacuum drain to be frost free.

Your going to want 2' frost free yard hydrants at 24" depth.

Valve cover boxes come in 1' for sprinkler systems. They don't think about the people that could use some in 2'(homemade).
