My GE horizontal Jet pump motor is buzzing, has lost preesure, and is likely the motor is shot since it is very hot to the touch.

I found a 6 month old replacement pump that looks similar for $100 bucks, but I am not sure if is a good replacemnt. It is a 1 horse Deep well pump.

I also don't know the procedure to remove, replace, and re-prime the pump.

Mine and the replacement have two holes / hoses in the front of the pump going into the well pipe. There is one hose going to the house plumbing. My 1/2 horse motor says "jet pump for well" on it.

I am buying the motor hoping it is a fit, but I still need to know how to change it as well as if it really the right one.
