Our pump spoiled and had it rebuilt. When we removed the discharge pipe and 2" casing (was leaking and loosing prime) my guys damaged the packer or foot valve or whatever the device attached to the bottom of the pipe was. They decided it was only some double duty extra for a possible hand pump if needed and replaced only the 1-1/4" discharge pipe back into the 3' diameter by 23 meters deep well. At the bottom end of the discharge pipe they attached a check valve and a foot long section with drilled holes to suck water through. OK, now the pump is running clockwise and is primed but won't suck water up. Can anyone confirm that we need the 2" casing and a new packer or ???
