I just remembered something else I wanted to ask. I've been burdening poor Bob with TONS of questions the past week or so, and thought I'd ask the Forum about this:

When I replace my system I'll be upgrading to 1" pipe from 3/4" .

Currently, the supply line to the house from the well runs along the floor joists, and is pretty tightly coupled acoustically to the structure, resulting in pretty loud noise in the kitchen and bath.

I'm thinking when I run the new pipe to the house, to use them rubber insulated muffler pipe hangers and good quality pipe insulation on the 1" pipe and hang it a few inches below the floor joists.

Will this work, or is there a better way ?

Thanks!
Jeff
