Well to make a long story short, I installed a sprinkler system at my girlfriends house who already had a 1 1/2 hp well pump installed. I tapped into the pump and all WAS working perfectly. She turned on the pump without manually opening the valves (havent hooked it up to a timer yet) and the pressure built up and blew the PVC pipe off of the top of the pump. I repaired the pipe and now there is hardley any water pressure and not even enough to make the sprinkler heads rise now.
My question is, did she ruin the pump? I would assume no because water still comes out, but with no pressure. I have no experience with well pumps and am wondering how to fix/build the pressure back up to what it was before the accident. Do I need to call someone to fix this, or is it an easy fix. Please help! Thank you.
