I read somewhere that as the GPM rating on a pump goes lower, the price goes up. In other words, a 5 gallon per minute pump would be more expensive than a 12 gallon per minute pump.
Is this true?
If so, why?

I just paid $1350.00 for a pump replacement in NE Pennsylvania. They used a Meyers Predator 2ST102-5. They were in and out in 2 hours. I do not know if the price was good or not. From what I have been reading it seemed okay.
