Just found the out we had no water pressure (175' well with a submerged 1/2 pump). The pressure switch was not tripped so I push in the contacts with an insulated pair of fuse pullers. The pump came on and the pressure switch stayed in until the cut-off point @50 #s. I then notice the pressure slowly dropping. I closed the valve between the pump and the check valve, still dropping slow 1 # at @ 2 minutes. Went in side to make sure nothing on and found that the toilet ballcock was just barely leaking by (will replace today). Shutting supply valve to toilet stopped the drop in pressure. My question is it possible for the pressure to bleed off the system so slowly that the pressure switch doesn't trip? Sorry for the long winded post. Thanks, Paul
