I installed a Grundfos 3-SQF-6 for a 525 foot well. Pump was placed at 357 feet. 3" pipe. wire 12 gu. We were planning to hook up a solar system, but need to use generator in the mean time.
Problem: We installed the pump last year end of August. When we tried to run it a week ago, it wouldn't pump. Had the installer pull it today - broken. Warranty ran out a couple of months ago.

This is an off-grid home. We only are there in summer. The installer called Grundfos, was told the pumps have to be run at least once a month, or they freeze up. And no one in my area works on Grundfos.

Any suggestions - we are very disappointed, and not sure what to do.
