I need some help finding out if my well is screened. I posted an earlier question concerning pressure loss with a submersible pump, but after the spring run off (I live near Denver), I am still having problems with cavitation - the water level in the well is dropping down to the pump intake level and causing air to enter the system. My next thought is to find out if my well is screened. I understand that if the screen gets too fouled, the pump draws the water level down and doesn't replenish itself quick enough to avoid cavitation.... is this a correct assumption?
Is there an easy way to clean or replace the well screen, if in fact there is one? Any info is appreciated!
