I am a complete novice when it comes to figuring out what I need for a pump. All I know is that my water pressure is exceedingly low and a plumber who has done work at my home says I need a larger/better well pump to get the job done. He doesn't seem to have the expertise, however, to size a pump and I want to make sure I don't waste my money and end up damaging the well or seeing no improvement. My well is called a "sand point" well, which I know means it is shallow. It is beneath the stoop of my home (I believe) and altough I have access to the current pump and pressure tank, I don't know how to obtain the measurements your sight recommends to properly size a well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
