my well pump pressure switch has just sometimes started cutting off during the night while I sleep. At that time the only possible usage could be when the water softener is recharging. When I manually close the switch, the pump comes on for about a minute, and then the system is ok for a couple of days. There is no set pattern to the shut offs. They do not occur on the days of heaviest usage, like laundry day. In fact, our usage is relatively small: for domestic needs of 2 adults, no sprinkler system, etc. So far I have not noticed the readings on the pressure guage when it is off in the am.
The well is only about 15 yrs old & I had to replace the submersed pump last year (it died).

Any suggestions as to what is going on and how I can correct it will be greatly appreciated.
