I have an iron bacteria problem and want to sterilize my system. I'm having trouble getting into the well. Pic below shows my setup. It has a 2" casing with a drop pipe inside, 30' to a footvalve at the bottom. Speedbump asked about the well seal, it appears we have some sort of adapter instead. (This was part of a kit from the plumbing supply when we bought the pump setup in '95). (Note: The 3" PVC you see on the outside at the bottom is just a sleeve to protect the pipe from the concrete)

I can remove the check valve, but the drop pipe remains full of water because of the footvalve below, so I really can't get bleach into the well itself. I'm afraid to take off anything below the checkvalve due to the corrosion and possibility of casing or threads breaking. Any suggestions?
