    Well Pump Problem

The pump was working and then last Saturday the pump wouldn't shut off, there was no water and then the prime cap blew off. Everything stopped working at that point. We changed the galvanized pipe over to PVC and made it 60 foot. We have a Flotec 3/4 hp shallow well pump, getting good suction but no water delivered into the house. We have the bladder tank as well as a reserve tank. The bladder tank is reading at 28 psi

I'm not sure what the question is? I hate Flotec pumps and I don't understand what you meant by changing from Galvanized to PVC and the 60' thing.

The question is, what can be the cause of having no water coming into the house if the pump is working okay and the pipes that go down to the well have been all put in new, we changed from metal to PVC pipes and it is 60 feet of pipe going down to the well. We checked the house pipes and there are no leaks or breaks. We get water out of the faucet that the hose connects to on the outside of the house, but no water on the inside and the bladder tank is not filling up.

If you get good pressure from the hose outside but nothing inside, you may have a valve closed somewhere or a softener of some other form of filter may be plugged up.

Bladder tanks don't fill up. They only hold about 5 gallons of water.

Just another question, how fast should the pump be pumping water/how fast should the water flow?

That's a question I can't answer. It all depends on your well, your pump and your plumbing system. I wouldn't have any idea without knowing all about it.
