At our cabin we recently tried starting up our well pump after winter. The pump normally cycles on at around 20 psi. We find that the pump when primed slowly climbs to near 40 psi then steadily drops back down to zero. It doesnt cycle on unless manually hitting the pressure switch. The foot value to out 25' well we replaced. If the output end to our cabin is closed where would the problem be? We just bought the cabin a year or so ago and are new to pump operations. We are planning to replace the pump/tank if we can find the problem. Any helpful suggestions?
