I am installing a home on an existing well, the well services a few cattle tanks and a week end use only home. My new home is about 1000 feet from the well and has an existing one inch line from a bladder tank adjacent to the current well. It is about a 40 foot rise from the well. My thoughts are to put a low pressure booster type pump at the new home site connected to a new bladder tank. The current pressure at the new home site is 20psi and drops to a trickle after a few minutes.
Should I place the pressure pump near the well site and after the existing bladder tank or should I place it near the new installation? It seems from reading up on these pumps that I may not have enough suction to place the pump near the new installation.
