I have a 1.5 hp submersible pump. I want to be able to shut it off from my house 200 feet away. The primary relay that I will control remotely only comes in a SPDT configuration, so it can't switch a 220 VAC motor. So can I use the primary relay to control this DPST relay in a NC version? The contact/load side of the latter relay will be between the circuit breaker and the pressure switch.

Also, in order to monitor when the pump is actually running, is it okay to attach a wire to one of the hot terminals on the load side of the pressure switch or one of the hot terminals in control box? Of course I would have to attach a neutral and/or ground wire somewhere, also.

Thanks,
Ira
