I have a shallow jet pump for my residential well. I believe after a hard freeze (we live in California) my pump froze up and stopped working. I have checked the breaker and it was not tripped. I replaced the fuses to the main power switch to the pump and that was not the problem. The contact points on the pressure switch on the motor are closed but do not appear to be burnt. The pressure on the gauge read 40lbs at first but then fell down to 0 after I warmed up the works with a space heater for about 5 hours. Still the pump will not start. Any suggestions. Since my contact points are closed am I to presume that the motor fried? Any help would be greatly appreciated! We going on 3 days without water and are financially challenged at this moment to have the pump guy come out and would like to try everything we can first.
