Had a problem with water supply running for 20 seconds or so, then stopping completely. When water was shut off for few minutes, watr flowed again for 20 seconds, then stopped.
First of all, replaced pressure switch....same problem.
Then replaced pump...3/4 hp submersible in 30ft drilled well....same problem. Pump would cycle for 10 seconds then shut off.
Then replaced control switch....this seems to have been the problem....system is now working, pump cycles appropriately, and there is constant water, however the pressure seems considerably less than before the problem.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the pressure problem could be?
The only thing in the system not replaced is the pressure tank, but I believe this only 'maintains" the pressure in the system, but does not increase it. Is that correct?
Thanks for any help.
