I have installed a free, used Teel 3/4hp Jet Pump and small pressure tank combo.
It is getting plenty of water thru a new 1 1/4 suction line and new jet, foot valve and 1" pressure line.(Two pipe jet set at 27feet down).
The pump seems to reach a 40psi max and wont build higher.
Should it? Or is this normal?

I backed the pressure switch off so it wont keep trying to build more and cant. I set the off at appx. 38psi and the on at appx. 25psi.

Should it pump higher than 40psi ?
The system is sealed and not loosing pressure when it sits off.
