For years I used an old Deming piston pump to draw our sink/shower water from the lake into a bladder tank. The pump is located under the camp and draws through a 1 in. black poly pipe about 80 ft long. The rise is gradual to about 8 ft. When the valve seals failed this year in the piston pump, I bought a ½ HP shallow well jet pump to replace it and it will not do the job. I’m sure it would if I relocated down by the shore however, for convenience; I want to keep the pump where it is. This is a seasonal place in Maine that I shut down and drain in the fall.
Under these circumstances, can you advise what would work for me? More powerful shallow well pump? Deep well, two pipe pump?

Thanks Bill
