I am care taking an offgrid house. The water is pumped from a well to a cistern that sits just above the home. The lower pump is run by it's own small solar cell. Recently the pump quit working. I opened the cover and simply jiggled the wire and it started working. This was successful for awhile but then stopped. I opened the pressure switch. Inside was much corrosion and one of the wires had broken free. The pressure switch is a
Furnas Electric 69WB5W. The well is accessible only by an approx 8" tube and just inside and down about two feet lies the pressure switch. I can't seem to be able to access the pump from this opening. The opening is embedded into an approx 6 x 6 concrete block.
Any and all thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated!!!
