I'm new to the forum. Whenever I leave my house for a long weekend, I turn off my pump at the breaker. Until recently, when I returned I would reset the breaker and that was it. Now, when I come home and reset the breaker, the pump comes on even though there has been no water usage while I've been away. I assume I'm losing water somewhere but don't know where.

FWIW, I have a STA-RITE submersible pump, a Wellmate - 9 pressure tank that's a couple of years old. According to the guage, the cut-in/cut-off pressure is ~ 40/60. When the well comes on it stays on for 45 seconds and is off for ~ 148 seconds.

Any ideas where I might be losing water? Should it be repaired sooner or can it wait until later?
