Have been on this forum before and found great assistance...have another question.

I have an irrigation system that consists of a 1HP jet pump hooked into a 20 gallon pressure tank and then into a 1" polypipe system with faucets for irrigation.

I was concerned that due to the small size of the pressure tank my pump was kicking in far too often....1 every 30 secs or so....and so my question is are these pumps designed for this type of excessive cycling?? If not, I guess I have to install a bigger pressure tank, but even then I feel it will cycle every few minutes. Is there a solution, or is this type of operating ok for the pump?
