That's a pretty cool idea. I never saw anything like that short of the low-pressure Square D switch. And that was more of a nuisance than a motor saver. On systems that couldn't always keep up with demand, instead of people having low pressure, they had no pressure.

I've gotta say, Well X Trol has had a pretty good run since the 50's.

They made their first tank in 1954. I think it was used in boiler systems for home heating. Then moved into well tanks in the 60's.

I wish I had a nickel for every one they have sold since then.

Yeah, as long as you had a way of adding air to the galvanized tanks, they would get rid of the sulfur.

Yup, I replaced a couple of them as a kid until I figured that they didn't work.

I've already taken out the flow restrictors "aka" water saver devices
Be careful with kitchen faucet with water restrictors. I tried to remove one and it cost me just under $200.00 for a new faucet. The bride was not happy.

Ps. There is some good old pumps at the bottom for you speedbump in that thread.
I enjoy looking at old pumps. Brings back memories. I was doing pump work before the Jet Pumps took over.

Not much pump work here in NC. Lots of people share wells up here. We share one with 4 others and the people up above us have roughly 30 people on one good producing well. We got bored being retired so we are building houses now.

I have worked on many hand dug wells in the past and grew up with pitless adaptors. I learned to not use the first type of PVC pipe that came out. As the trench settled that brittle PVC would just break off at the pitless. So would poly pipe if you didn't support it.
