Speaking of "not cheap", what does a rig like that cost new? My guess is under $500K, but not by much. Close?

    Pretty close.

Then you still need rods, desanders, odds and ends.

You guys use a portable pit right? What do you do with the cuttings? Or do you have a mud-puppy type set-up.

We shovel into a wheel barrel and dump them in the weeds near by.

Then we use transfer pumps to pump away the muddy water.

Then doing the hook up we try to get most of the mess in the hole.

Very cool rig in the video. Would be a good luxury to have one person drilling and the other free to take care of other things like getting more water, prepping casing, etc.

What size drill stem is common on these rigs? I'm pretty sure ours is/was 2-7/8's w/Mayhew Jr. threads.

It works with two guys on a rig with a carousel too.

That is all we ever have.

I am not sure what size the drill rods are....I will have to check.
