    Here it comes

We are right in the middle, the severe snow storm out of Canada and hurricane Sandy are due to collide right here this week starting today. The weather Guru is calling for 5.8" of rain tonight and tomorrow. Then 50" of snow on Tues and Wed. SHOULD GET EXCITING.

Yeah I'de say. 50" of snow, wow that's a bunch in one day. Then on top of 6" of rain. I guess you won't have to run the sprinklers for a while.

    What about wind?

Wow..! Once the storm itself has passed, all that rain and the snowmelt might be an even bigger concern! Keep us posted on how you're faring.

Hope you have a good generator and lots of gas Denny. Forget the snow plow, just build an igloo.

Got the snow plow ready and lots of gas for the generator. We butchered a stear last week and have the larder full of canned goods. I live on top of a mountain 2860' elevation. I'm ready!

If your place goes under water, there won't be anything left anywhere else. I'm not sure the water got that deep in Noah's day.

I had a woman call couple of years ago trying to sell flood insurance (from Baltimore elevation 0 to 20'). I told her if it floods where I live then she has real problems.

Snowed about 6" since it started 3hrs ago worst will hit tomorrow and Wednesday

Every thing here is canceled for tomorrow.

Denny, how did you fair? I know Manhattan didn't go so well. Nor did several other burgs in New York. Hopefully you just got a powerful breeze and all is well.
