I have one for my heat pump.

It's worked ...OK for the past 17 years.

Would I do it again, in Arizona... heck no!!!, where it gets really cold and you are using it for heat, like in MI, OH, etc yeah maybe if I had a source well, and a dump well with lots of capacity.

Mine is buried Ground exchange system, 10' down 50'X50', with a drip system installed above it, the drip system doesn't seem to make any difference.
