I recently had my deep water well (270')pump replaced. The installer upgraded the pump from I believe 1/2 HP to 3/4 HP and dropped the pump another 10' deeper. With the old pump I was able to run the well with a portable gas generator when power went out. Since the pump was replaced the well will not start/run with the generator. The installer only changed pumps, nothing else. Is there any upgrades that can be done so this pump will run on generator power i.e. better starter capacitor? I feel like the it is the initial starting load that is preventing the pump from running. Thanks for any help.
